Creating a work schedule for busy leaders

Defines work periods

The creation of a work schedule with the establishment of times of availability and times of non-availability for certain matters. At times of availability for work, one is not available for personal matters except in emergencies, and vice versa.

A good schedule, with a good list of tasks set out in it, is the key to successful time management, and allows us to stay focused on our key responsibilities at all times, whether personal or professional, without one sphere interfering with the other.

So the objective of a good schedule is to be able to define within it, specific work periods that help us to structure the day, advance tasks and avoid disorder, assigning each thing its own time, and allowing us to make a balanced distribution of tasks and commitments.

By establishing schedules for specific activities, such as meetings, individual work and time dedicated to strategic planning, or any other similar task items, we can maximize our productivity and achieve greater control over our time.

In addition to helping to structure the day, a well-designed work schedule should allow us to have time set aside exclusively for self-care and rest. Including scheduled breaks in your schedule helps you prevent burnout and maintain optimal levels of energy and concentration throughout the day. This, in turn, contributes to greater efficiency and quality in the work performed.
